Now it’s time to switch to Wordpress 2.5 which has been released 2 days back. I did a test run at my dummy blog and looks everything goes smoothly. The new wordpress is awesome and have greater functionalities.
I am upgrading all my themes, presently talian, redie, softblog, cssfox and beyond2010 are doing well with new version, so present theme users can go for upgrade without any worry. Those who are still using ultimate tag warrior should discard the old theme and download the new version of all my themes.
I have lot of things to do now, here is my task list:
- Announcing 2 brand new themes compatible with wordpress 2.5 and above. I promise new themes will have greater functionalities and professional look and feel.
- Upgrading all my client’s blogs (I have 35 requests so far)
- Upgrading all my blogs to wordpress 2.5 this week. (about 15 blogs)
- Upgrading all my previous themes, so that users can use them with new version of wordpress.
- Preparing A new version of Talian for technology bloggers.
- I have many request from Movabletype theme coders, who are willing to convert my themes for bloggers who are using Movabletype. I am thankful to those who have extended their support to my work.
Oops! a lot of work to do. Above are my priorities now and all the work has been put on hold till i complete these tasks. Dont worry if you found some errors in this blog, as I will be in between the upgrading work.
Cheers!

Hotels, car-rental agencies and restaurants, which along with airlines employ roughly 4 percent of U.S. workers, will also feel the pinch. So far, travel bookings are holding up. But corporate travel managers are taking a more active role in keeping on-the-road spending in check: — Employees are increasingly being asked to provide an economic rationale for their trips. — Rules that require employees to book the lowest fare, stay in pre-approved hotels or double-up in cars and rooms are being enforced more strictly.
I designed my own website for my business and I use blogger for my personal scribblings but I have had several people recommend wordpress as the way to go and blogging to be the best way to do business on the internet.
I am not completely convinced as a lot of the people that come to my business are part time internet users that typically only use the internet to look at very specific information only when they need to and would likely object to having emails land in their in boxes with any great level of regularity. On that basis they would be very unlikely to subscribe and I would probably only contact them once or twice a year.
So am I right or wrong, am I missing out on a great product.
I’ve enjoyed using the new wordpress and it has been pretty easy to use. I like many of the new features and the askimet software has worked well with the new version. (Thought it would present issues.) New themes are always welcome and just a note to say appreciate your work. Thanks!
I also like using the new wordpress and is great and easy. Thank you guys.
